I want to start by saying THANK YOU for all the support you've shown us & Into the Blue. For all your sweet messages, for understanding that the Vinyl is late, for sending us notes on your favourite tracks, for sharing with your friends. For all the love & kindness, we really appreciate it & this week of release has been really special.
We wanted to share a little bit about each track & since the vinyl is late, share the lyrics too. The insight that you have after making a record is often different to when you're in the throws of it. It's interesting to look back.
We started demo-ing Into the Blue in late 2019 at Rhydian's house in North Wales. There was no Covid, we had a full schedule of dates for 2020 & I was getting ready to move back to Wales for a little while at least. I'd missed it & was reflecting on where I wanted to be. That strange metaphor of being at a crossroad & not a particularly clear one. I'd just been through a difficult experience - all the paths were diverging & no clear decision in sight. The only path that was starting to become clear was to not be afraid. There was no wrong choice, nothing to be overthought. Life is constantly changing, even when you don't know it.
There's a line in the song that still makes me check myself today. I was feeling sad that something had come to an end - regretful that maybe I hadn't appreciated it like I should have when it was right there in front of me.

Don't do that, it's a waste of fookin' energy. You can appreciate what you had, but there's so much more to come if you're open to looking forward.
