End of summer 2024. As the days shorten and the berries on the trees and bushes start to ripen, the world around us whispers that autumn is on its way. It's one of my favourite seasons; it feels like nature is pausing, reflecting on it's work from spring and summer and preparing for the next chapter.
Similarly, it's time for us to reflect on what has been a beautifully creative summer, especially with our solo records and the Music Club. I've really enjoyed some of out recent releases, from covering the music from the movie Predator (didn't expect that- thank you Riddi!) , to reimagining the sound of Badfinger's No Matter What, every track is a new palette and imagination.
We also enjoyed making original TJF music too. Vista and Rhedeg yn y Grug & this week we're sharing our latest track Earwig Appreciation Song, a track about the misunderstood & what we view as pests in our society. It was partly inspired by David Goulson's beautiful book "The Garden Jungle" - have you read that one? it's well worth checking out. There's a chapter on how earwigs play a crucial role in protecting apple orchards, yet despite their helpful nature, they are often unwelcome in our houses and gardens. This is probably a more overt track about kindness & nature, although virtually every TJF song alludes to something similar. It's a dream of mine, for more and more people to feel connected to wild spaces & their inhabitants.

It's quite varied as you can probably tell! & you can access all the music we've recorded since 2019. We've got some fun news coming up in October for the club, so now might be a good time to get acquainted.
It also helps support all our musical & touring endeavors. We've just paid for our visas. Wow, the price hike was real, it's not something we can revolt again because I want to see all your faces again in 2025 ❤️
