Adam hosts science & technology series Science Cafe, and is on air every Saturday night from 10 with his weekly new show.
Adam was born in 1971 and grew up in Nannerch, Flintshire. He learnt to play the Deer Hunter theme on the guitar at Glan Llyn in Bala with an ambition to be a professional classical guitarist.
After reconsideration and gaining A-levels and a degree in English at Liverpool University, he formed a band to avoid work for as long as possible. They were called Daisychain and released one single that sold particularly well in Sweden. They played with musical luminaries like Dodgy, Mansun, Travis and 60ft Dolls.
The band's historic last gig was at The Filling Station in Newport in 1996 where they played with a band from the Valleys who bussed in 100 friends and 200 rabid A&R men. They were called Stereophonics. Daisychain split up.
Concurrent to the festering sore that is Adam's musical career, he managed to wangle himself a gig on Radio Wales. He presented Radio Wales' new music show Revolution and got to interview Oasis, Blur, Public Enemy, Pixies, Rage Against The Machine and many other artists.
The Adam Walton Show is broadcast on Saturday nights, and you can hear the likes of Sun Ra, Fairport Convention, Big Black, War and Westlife, all rubbing shoulders with the finest new Welsh musical talent.
Adam's the resident DJ and occasional promoter at Telford's Warehouse in Chester and he enjoys computer programming when he's not mowing down legions of newbies during an online Quake III frag-fest.
Perhaps it is these 'geek-oid' tendencies that drew him inexorably to presenting Radio Wales' science and technology show Science Cafe.
He says he can knock up a mean, napalm-strength veggie chilli in mere minutes, supports Liverpool FC and enjoys hanging around the local cinema gathering dropped chunks of toffee-flavoured popcorn.
