What a beautiful challenge this one turned out to be. Filmed in one of my secret hidey holes in Southern Utah, we wanted to make a video that was alive with nature & imprints of the past but also plays with perspective. To be able to zoom out & change your view of the world & your own reality. It's a humbling tool, that can push you to treat yourself & the people around you a little bit better.

Back to Nothing is the second single to emerge from the new album and follows last month's title track Into the Blue. Where Into the Blue reveled in the courage to enjoy the mystery and excitement of something unexpected, Back to Nothing reflects on where you've been and how grief can heal and illuminate the future. Into the Blue by The Joy Formidable will be released digitally and on limited edition vinyl on August 20th 2021.
